Butcher's BBQ

I am always on the lookout for amazing barbecue. But when I look for BBQ, it is not just the food. I take into account the whole experience. Today, I found another "keeper." In Gainesville, GA, there is a new BBQ joint call Butcher's which is owned by a guy that used to go to my church. It is on Bradford Street just off the square. First, you are not going to leave hungry. Rocky, the owner, loaded us up with brisket and pulled pork, fries, beans, collard greens, and slaw. He has several different style sauces. The best part of the meal was the stew that had just enough "kick." But, like I said, I take into account the entire atmosphere. Rocky has done a good job giving an authentic rustic feel complete with backwoods blues playing. Butchers reminded me of my all-time favor BBQ joint that is in Nixa, Missouri called Buckinghams.

But don't take my word for it. Go check it out!

What happened to Butcher BBQ on Bradford St in Gainesville? The guy there "Rocky" had what I considered the absolute BEST BBQ I ever tasted, and I have eaten a LOT of BBQ. He had fantastic BEEF BBQ Ribs and Brisket, which no other BBQ restaurant in this area seem to serve. Anyone know what happened? He was there in mid-July then a week later I went for another "fix" and was greeted by a for-lease sign.
Is he local? Is he possibly going to reopen elsewhere?

I was very depressed when I heard the Butchers closed down. I have no idea what happened. That really was the best in the area. I don't know of any other restaurant that gave you that much really good bbq.
