NFL Week 1 Picks

Here are my head-to-head picks for the first week of the NFL Season. My selections are in red.

Vikings @ Saints. The Vikings go to N.O. 4.5 point underdogs. The Saints will easily cover.

Panthers @ Giants. The Giants will also easily cover the spread.

Dolphins @ Bills. The 3 point spread doesn't make sense to me. Miami should win this game big.

Falcons @ Steelers. There have been too many distractions for the Steelers to show up in this game.

Lions @ Bears. The Lions come in as 6 point underdogs. I don't see it. Cutler is still a spoiled brat and will pull his antics again this year. The Lions will show up and embarrass the Bears.

Colts @ Texans. This one was a hard one for me. The Colts didn't look good coming into this season. However, you have to go with the Colts for one reason when the spread is only 2 points - Peyton Manning.

Browns @ Buccaneers. The Browns come in at 1.5 point underdogs. The only reason is that it is an away game for the Browns during a rebuilding year. However, I think Holmgren probably has them on the right track. Last year, Tampa Bay gave up more points per game and now the Browns have veteran leadership under center.

Bengals @ Patriots. The Patriots are four point favorites but will struggle with this motivated team. However, they will win and cover the 4 points.

Raiders @ Titans. The Raiders are going to be a better team this year, but they won't be able to handle the Titans who are 6 point favorites.

Broncos @ Jaguars. Denver comes in 2 point underdogs. However, they easily take the two points and win the game.

49ers @ Seahawks. The 3 point underdog Seahawks will struggle with their new system and have another mediocre year.

Cardinals @ Rams. I can't wait to see how lost Bradford looks against a decent defense. The Cardinals cover the 4 points.

Packers @ Eagles. I'm not sure how the Packers come to Philly at only three point favorites. The Packers are my pick to win it all this year (sorry, Falcons fans - my heart says "The Falcons", but my head says "The Packers").

Cowboys @ Redskins. As much as I hate the Cowboys, they should easily cover the 3.5 point spread.

Ravens @ Jets. This is the most shocking of the spreads for this week. The Jets are going to experience a sophomore slump this year. The Ravens will easily win against the overrated Jets who are the 1 point favorites in this game.

Chargers @ Chiefs. The Chargers will easily cover the 4.5 point spread.
