The Dark Knight

I watched one of the best movies ever made today - The Dark Knight.  I thought that Batman Begins finally captured the darkness of the real Batman.  But, The Dark Knight is unbelievable.  Heath Ledger (sp?) was incredible.  If he doesn't get an Oscar nod, it will be a huge mistake.
The biggest thing that I took away from the movie was not the amazing acting and mind blowing action.  Not only did the movie capture the darkness that the real Batman really was about, it captured the blurred lines between right and wrong, good and bad, that is the postmodern culture.  It captured the darkness of postmodern thought.  The monologues by Joker epitomized the essence of postmodernism.  Pay close attention to his rants against authority.

Check out this movie.  Do not wait for the DVD.  You have to see this on the big screen.

I really want to see the movie but have to go 80 miles to do so!

From the previews I was thinking it was a post-modern re-interpretation of the Batman Comics.
